Gearbox – 5 speed conversion for Automatic cars
Over 150 conversions have been supplied for V12 XJS/XJ6/E Type/X300. They have been put into cars in various states of tune and have stood the test of time. This conversion is probably the most efficient way to go as it puts the controls in exactly the right place and uses essentially all Jaguar components. Many of the most successful racers have used this conversion as has Lister with their highly modified engines. The conversion can be carried out by the skilled DIYmechanic or a number of good Jaguar engineers. The finished result transforms the car from a “gentlemans cruiser” to an “animal”, the problem being with the auto box that the car seldom reaches its optimum rev range. Most recipients of the conversion claiming that the performance far exceeds their expectations. The 5 speed getrag box used is very suitable for the job, and handles the power beautifully. The cost of this complete conversion can be less than 50% of the cost of alternative basic gearboxes. |

Exhaust- Middle box replacement

The middle exhaust box is a reverse flow unit with has the tendancy to strangle the engine and force the economy down. The stainless steel conversion pipes, turn the system into a straight through system, with enhanced economy, ground clearance, and for most improved sound ( it actually sounds like a V12). With the improved urge of the manual gearbox, it makes the perfect complement. |
Throttle Bodies – up to ”3”
This is a very straightforward efficient way of getting more fuel into the engine with out major engineering modifications. Many racers are using this conversion with 3” piping ducted from a dummy headlamp on a 4 headlamp conversion.
ECUs
Can be remapped , chipped and programmed to suit requirements, these must not be confused, or compaired with other units supplied in the trade! |
